These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern your use of the HoSpeak website and application (together, the "Service"), owned and operated by Ho Speak ("we", "us" or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service.
- Provide accurate information and keep your account details and onboarding preferences up to date.
- You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure. Tell us at support@hospeak.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
2. The Service
HoSpeak provides Medical English learning content for healthcare professionals, including modules, chapters, exercises, quizzes, Anatomy Cards and Master Courses at Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced levels. We may add, change or remove content and features.
3. XP, Milestones and Achievements
- You earn 100 XP once per chapter position, the first time it is fully completed. Retaking quizzes or revisiting completed chapters does not earn XP again.
- Module completion bonuses and Master Course XP are awarded as described in the app.
- XP, XP Milestones, Achievements and active days are for motivation only. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged.
- We may correct XP or Achievements that were awarded in error.
4. Paid features, payment and cancellation
- Some parts of the Service are free. Access to additional content may require a paid subscription, with the price and billing period shown to you before you buy.
- Paid subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time through [your app store account / account settings]. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Refunds are handled as set out by [Payment provider / app store] and applicable law.
- We may change prices. Changes apply from your next renewal, and we will tell you beforehand.
5. Educational purpose only
HoSpeak teaches English language skills. Content is not medical advice, clinical guidance or a substitute for professional training, protocols or judgement. We do not guarantee any exam result, job outcome or language proficiency level.
6. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Share your account or resell or redistribute our content.
- Copy, scrape or extract content by automated means, or reverse engineer the Service.
- Interfere with the security or operation of the Service or introduce malware.
- Try to gain XP, Achievements or access through fraud or exploits.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its content, software, design, logos and the HoSpeak name, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own learning.
8. Notifications
If you choose a daily reminder and allow notifications, we will send learning reminders. You can turn them off in Settings or in your device settings.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties for hosting, payments, push notifications and similar functions. Their services may have their own terms, and we are not responsible for interruptions or errors they cause.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should continue, such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability, survive termination.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that the content is complete or accurate.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or loss of profits, data or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
13. Privacy
Our handling of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jeddah.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service. Continuing to use the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
